Spirit Spectacular

Spirit Spectacular is our first performance of the year and will showcase the other three KISD Bands and their drill teams. The report time for the Band is at 6:30pm (Percussion 5:00pm) at the KHS Band Hall. The uniform is Windsuit, Show Shirt, long black socks, and black marching shoes. We encourage everyone to come and support the Roo Band and if you are coming watch the show it starts at 8:00pm and the price of admission is $6.00 general admission.

Evening Rehearsal Schedule

Just a reminder to everyone that this week due to Teacher Inservice meetings, our rehearsal schedule this week will be from 5pm to 8pm Monday,Tuesday & Thursday. On Friday, the rehearsal schedule will be the regular 8am until 1pm. Please make sure and hydrate throughout the day as temperatures will be in the 100s throughout the week.

T-Shirt and Windsuit Sizes

Please make sure to email Mr. Gregg your t-shirt size and if you need a windsuit (jacket and/or pants), please submit those sizes as well. 


Note: All freshmen and new marchers are required to purchase a KHS Band Windsuit.

Drumline Camp #2 this week

This is just a reminder about this week's Drumline Camp. It is Monday-Thursday from 12:30-6:30 and Saturday 8:30am -5:30pm in the KHS Band Hall. Please bring Water, comfortable clothing, tennis shoes and your Drumline Binder (if applicable)

Drum Corps International (DCI) Performances

We are in the process of trying to coordinate a trip to watch a DCI (Drum Corps International) show. DCI is a group of competitive professional marching bands comprised of  High School to College-aged students. The first opportunity is the Southwestern Championship live in San Antonio at the Alamodome on July 21st. The second is the World Championship Prelims, which will be shown in the Market Heights movie theater on August 9th. We would like to go to either one of these events but it depends on if there is demand for it. There is a poll posted here to see if members are interested in going.
